What is CMMI Institute?

CMMI Institute is established at Pittsburgh, USA. CMMI Model, having attained the position of a matured product, has been transitioned to CMMI Institute by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI). At this point in time, CMMI Institute is playing the same role globally with respect to CMMI Model as was being played by SEI. This includes encouraging the adoption and deployment of the CMMI model for various industry segments. Since the CMMI Model is available now in three constellations, CMMI-DEV, CMMI-SVC and CMMI-ACQ, it is all the more necessary to coordinate the adoption of these models globally and across the industry in areas like aerospace, finance, health services, software, defence, transportation and telecommunications. CMMI Institute’s focus is in areas like Improving Performance, Training and Maturing the Suppliers. The CMMI Institute licenses its products and services through a network of delivery partners called Authorized Partners.
