For the above-mentioned question, CMMI Consultants may take inputs from the following:

Solicitation and Supplier Agreement Development (SSAD) process area is to develop the overall solicitation packet for one or more suppliers selected for the delivery of the product(s) and/or service(s), conducting and maintaining the agreement with these suppliers.

Activities

Solicitation and Supplier Agreement Development involves the following activities

  • Identify potential suppliers.
  • Develop a solicitation package that includes the requirements and proposal evaluation criteria, review it.
  • Distribute the solicitation package to potential suppliers for their response and maintain the package throughout the solicitation.
  • Evaluate supplier based on their responses, terms & conditions and other relevant parameters. Negotiate with them and select the best supplier(s).
  • Conduct an agreement with the selected supplier(s).

Inputs

Following are some examples of input to the Solicitation and Supplier Agreement Development:

  • Requirements of solicitation
  • Prospect suppliers
  • Legal and statutory requirements

Outputs

Outputs created during the implementation of the Solicitation and Supplier Agreement Development activities are as under:

  • List of potential suppliers
  • Statement of work for the supplier
  • Roles and responsibilities of relevant stakeholders
  • Supplier proposals
  • Supplier questions and requests for clarification
  • Reviews of the solicitation package
  • Revisions due to negotiations
  • Supplier selection decision
  • Evaluation reports
  • Supplier agreement
