CMMI Appraisals in India and China, Year 2016: CMMI Appraisal Trend in the World:

The CMMI Appraisal Data is annually published by the CMMI Institute. It is known as CMMI Maturity Profile. The data for the Year 2016 is available at the following link: http://partners.cmmiinstitute.com/cmmi-appraisals/process-maturity-profiles/ . CMMI Appraisals have been carried out in 98 countries of the world. As far as Indian scenario is concerned, 240 CMMI Appraisals were carried out in the year 2016. This is an 18.5% increase from the year 2015, in which 190 CMMI appraisals were carried out in India. Keeping in view the size of Indian IT industry, there is lot of opportunity for improvement in this area so that the adoption of CMMI best practices becomes a “trending phenomenon”. If we observe the Chinese situation, 1226 CMMI appraisals were carried out in China in the year 2016. This is an increase of 37.5% in the number of CMMI Appraisals carried out in China in comparison to the number of CMMI Appraisals carried out in year 2015 when the number was 892. In USA, 443 CMMI Appraisals were carried out in the year 2016 and in Mexico, 91 appraisals were carried out.
