For young professionals, pursuing careers in the field of CMMI, the CMMI Institute has launched its Certified CMMI Associate™ Program that will give an anchoring to their knowledge in the field of CMMI. For individuals, starting their career, it will act as a foundation-stone for becoming CMMI Consultant.

CMMI Associate certification gives a credible proof of the individual’s knowledge of CMMI at the foundation level. While going through the CMMI Associate Certification Program, the individual is evaluated for the understanding of the three CMMI models:  CMMI for Acquisition (CMMI-ACQ), CMMI for Development (CMMI-DEV), and CMMI for Services (CMMI-SVC).

Step 1: Complete a prerequisite CMMI training course

Successfully complete one of the following:

• Fundamentals of CMMI e-learning Course of CMMI Institute

Step 2: Prepare for the CMMI Associate Exam

The CMMI Associate Exam is designed to test the knowledge and understanding of all three CMMI models:  CMMI for Acquisition (CMMI-ACQ), CMMI for Development (CMMI-DEV), and CMMI for Services (CMMI-SVC).

Step 3: Take the CMMI Associate Exam

The 30 question, 1-hour online examination is composed of multiple choice, true-false, and multiple select questions. The examination is open book and may be taken at home or work.

Registration is available via American Express, MasterCard, and Visa. Students must create an account in the CMMI Institute Online Training Center before taking the CMMI Associate Exam.

The CMMI Associate Exam fee is $250.

You may choose to register for a bundle that includes the CMMI Associate Exam and the Fundamentals of CMMI course for $675, which is a 10% discount.

Step 4: Receive your Certification

If you pass the CMMI Associate Exam, your certification will be granted. You will receive a certification diploma and will be listed in the online CMMI Associate Directory.

Step 5: Renew your Certification

Certified CMMI Associates are required to reapply for certification after a three-year period, to ensure that they are educated on the latest CMMI best practices and models.
