The two very significant coordinates on which the technology will progress are Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics or the use of Industrial Robots. As per figures quoted in Fortune Special Report published in FORTUNE magazine (December 1, 2017), in the Year 2016, China had a robot density of 68 per 10,000 manufacturing workers. Similar figures quoted for other countries in the afore-mentioned Fortune Special Report, for per 10,000 manufacturing workers are, 631 robots in South Korea, 309 in Germany, 303 in Japan, and 189 in the U.S. To make this gap in comparison to the other countries, China is planning to raise the ratio of industrial robots to 100 from 68 per 10000 workers by 2020. This is the situation with respect to Robotics. With respect to Artificial Intelligence, Chinese Government is planning to develop an industry worth US $ 150 Billions. What will be the result, time will tell. But as far as planning for the future, China has its goals etched in stone.
