For the above-mentioned question, CMMI Consultants may take inputs from the following:

Organizational Process Focus (OPF) process area provides guidance for planning, implementing and deploying the process improvements in the organization, based on the feedback on strengths, weaknesses and opportunities for improvements in the processes and associated artifacts like procedures, templates, checklists, guidelines, forms etc.

Activities

Organizational Process Focus involves the following activities

  • Identify improvement ideas for organizational processes
  • Plan for the process improvement ideas and prepare the action plan
  • Deploy the organizational process assets
  • Incorporate the experiences collected from project teams, customers and other stakeholders

Inputs

Following are some examples of input to the Organizational Process Focus:

  • Customer Feedback
  • Project Teams Lessons Learnt
  • Project Closure Reports
  • Historical Metrics Data
  • Risk Database
  • Estimation Database
  • Incident, Issue and Problems logs

Outputs

Outputs created during the implementation of the Organizational Process Focus activities are as under:

  • Shortlisted process improvement ideas
  • Approved process improvement action plan
  • Status and results of implementing process action plans
  • Plans for pilots
  • Process improvement piloting plan
  • Status and results of process compliance audits

The above is not an exhaustive coverage of the Organizational Process Focus (OPF) CMMI Process Area but is substantive enough to create a good foundation of the Organizational Process Focus process in an organization.
