For the above-mentioned question, CMMI Consultants may take inputs from the following:

Project Monitoring and Control (PMC) process area helps in tracking the project status and to apply corrective actions to control the project performance from the planned objectives.

Activities

Project Monitoring and Control involves the following activities:

  • Monitoring the project against the defined goals
  • Updating the status to relevant stakeholders
  • Controlling the variances

Inputs

Following are some examples of input to the Project Monitoring and Control:

  • Project Management Plan
  • Estimation Sheet
  • Work Breakdown Structure
  • Scope of Work (SOW) Document
  • Risk Log
  • Issue Log

Outputs

Outputs created during the implementation of the Project Monitoring and Control activities are as under:

  • Project Status reports – Weekly / Monthly
  • Minutes of Meeting (MOM) document
  • Milestone Review Report
  • Updated Issue Log
  • Updated Risk Log
  • Evidence of Risk and Issue Tracking Tool
