For the above-mentioned question, CMMI consultants may take inputs from the following.

Purpose of CMMI Process Area Organizational Training (OT) is to establish developed skill-set and enhance knowledge of resources in the organization. OT supports optimization of employee’s skill-set to perform their roles effectively and efficiently.

Organizational Training (OT) process area helps in:

  • Identification of training needs in the organization
  • Imparting training to relevant resources to address training needs
  • Developing a training capability within the organization utilizing the internal as well as external resources
  • Maintaining training records for planned/imparted trainings like Training Plan, Training Calendar, Training Material, Training Attendance Sheet, Training Feedback, Trainer Feedback etc.
  • Measuring training effectiveness using different techniques like Appraisals, Quiz, and Exams etc.

Following are some of the inputs for the CMMI – OT Process Area:

  • Skill deficiency in the organization
  • New technology implementation
  • Client requirements
  • Teams Management Issues

Following are some of the outputs for CMMI – OT Process Area:

  • Training Plan
  • Training Calendar
  • Training Material
  • Training Attendance Sheet
  • Training Feedback
  • Trainer Feedback

The above is not an exhaustive coverage of the Organizational Training (OT) CMMI Process Area but is substantive enough for CMMI Consultants to create a good foundation of the skilled man-power in an organization.
