SCAMPI Method Definition Document has been republished to CMMI Institute’s website with the integration of the Action Plan Reappraisal (APR) capability.
The main focus of this version of SCAMPI MDD is the action plan for reappraisal. Modification in the SCAMPI MDD V1.3b added an option to perform an action plan reappraisal in case a maturity level or capability level targets are not achieved. Section 4 of the document describe about the Action Plan Reappraisal.
So if one of more goals in an appraisal are rated as “UNSATISFIED” or “NOT RATED”, concerned organization can address those weaknesses in action plan and can subsequently action plan reappraisal. In this case action plan reappraisal will be performed on a subset of the model scope within the organizational scope after working on the weaknesses found in the initial appraisal.
Action plan reappraisal is to be performed within 04 months of the initial appraisal with a limit of only one action plan reappraisal.
