For the above-mentioned question, CMMI Consultants may take inputs from the following:

Strategic Service Management (STSM) process area is used to plan and establish standard services of the organization as per the organizational needs and plans. It also helps in maintain the services.

Activities

Strategic Service Management involves the following activities

  • Analysis of the organizational capabilities
  • Analysis of needs for services to cater to different customers and agreements
  • Establishing standard services in the organization based on the capabilities and needs
  • Maintaining standard services

Inputs

Following are some examples of input to the Strategic Service Management:

  • Organizational Capabilities
  • Need of Services
  • Business plans
  • Market research
  • Surveys
  • Business intelligence
  • Competitor data

Outputs

Outputs created during the implementation of the Strategic Service Management activities are as under:

  • Analyzed data on the organization’s capabilities
  • Analyzed data on the strategic needs
  • Prospective services descriptions
  • Plans for standard services
  • Service Level Agreement(s) Template(s)
  • Services Catalogue
