Process Performance Model (PPM) is used to describe a relationship of different attributes with a process. PPMs are developed on the historical measurement data available in the organization for different metrics and their sub-attributes.
PPMs are developed using Statistical Analysis tools like Crystal Ball or Minitab. Regression Equation analysis using Minitab is more popular to develop PPM. Historical Process Metrics Data with the sub-attributes data is feed into Minitab to generate the regression Equation.
Regression Equation is of the form x = 124 – 2.5y – 10.1 z + 10, where x is the Process and y, z are the attributes used to give value of x.
Regression Equation is then used to predict and control the Process Performance for new projects.
